1. Introduction

These Official Terms (“Terms”) govern participation in the Emyra Solar – Christmas Wishes to Light Giveaway(“Giveaway”), conducted by Emyra Solar (“the Promoter”).

By submitting an application, participants agree to be bound by these Terms.

This Giveaway is free to enter, requires no purchase, and is open exclusively to eligible applicants within the United Kingdom.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or any other third-party platform.


2. Definitions

“Promoter” – Emyra Solar.

“Participant / Applicant” – An individual or organisation submitting an application.

“Family Award” – A full residential sustainable energy package awarded to three (3) UK families.

“Community Award” – A 30–50 kW solar PV system awarded to one (1) UK-registered community centre or social institution.

“Application Period” – 9–23 December 2025.

“Shortlisting Period” – 23–24 December 2025.

“Winner Announcement Date” – 25 December 2025.

“Award” – The installation, equipment, and services provided by the Promoter under this Giveaway.


3. Eligibility Requirements

3.1. The Giveaway is open to:

(a) UK residents aged 18+ applying for the Family Award;

(b) UK-registered community centres or social institutions applying for the Community Award.

3.2. Applicants must provide truthful, accurate information.

3.3. Only one application per household or organisation is permitted.

3.4. Employees of the Promoter, contractors, or their immediate families are not eligible.

3.5. Participation is free; no purchase or payment is required.

3.6. Eligibility does not guarantee selection.


4. Application Process

4.1. Applications must be submitted during 10–23 December 2025 (23:59 GMT) via the official forms on the Giveaway website.

4.2. Only complete applications will be considered.

4.3. Applications must include:

– Applicant details

– Description of current energy challenges

– A personal or organisational story explaining need and impact

– Any optional supporting details

4.4. Applications submitted outside the Application Period will not be reviewed.


5. Selection Criteria

Applications are evaluated using a non-random, story-based assessment. Factors include:

5.1. Level of need and vulnerability

5.2. Impact potential on the family or community

5.3. Strength and clarity of the applicant’s story

5.4. Feasibility of installation (technical and structural)

5.5. Ability to safely carry out installation under UK regulations

5.6. Community benefit, especially for the Community Award

No element of the selection process is random. Winners are chosen based on human assessment.


6. Shortlisting and Verification

6.1. Shortlisting occurs 23–24 December 2025.

6.2. The Promoter may request verification documents, including but not limited to:

– Proof of residency or organisational registration

– Property ownership or tenancy permission

– Photos, energy bills, or other evidence of need

6.3. If the applicant fails to provide verification within the requested timeframe, the application may be disqualified.

6.4. Technical assessments will evaluate structural integrity, access, roof suitability, electrical capacity, and safety.


7. Selection of Winners

7.1. Final winners (three Family Award winners and one Community Award winner) will be selected based on the criteria in Section 5.

7.2. Winners will be announced publicly on 25 December 2025 on the Promoter’s website and official channels.

7.3. Winners will also be contacted by email or phone.

7.4. If a winner cannot be reached within 7 days, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative applicant.


8. Award Details

8.1. Family Award Includes:

– Residential solar PV system

– Home battery storage

– Heat pump system

– Full installation

– Technical surveys and compliance checks

– Warranty and aftercare service as standard

– No financial cost to the recipient

8.2. Community Award Includes:

– 30–50 kW solar PV system (size based on feasibility and need)

– Professional-grade design and installation

– Grid connection and regulatory compliance

– Structural and safety inspection

– Maintenance guidance

– No financial cost to the recipient

Awards cannot be exchanged, sold, or transferred.


9. Installation Arrangements

9.1. Installations will begin after the Winner Announcement Date.

9.2. Family Award installations are scheduled for January–February 2026.

9.3. Community Award installation is scheduled for February–March 2026.

9.4. All dates may be adjusted due to weather, supply timelines, safety requirements, or regulatory factors.

9.5. Winners must provide reasonable access to their property to complete installation.


10. Installation Limitations

10.1. Installation may not proceed if:

– The property is structurally unsound

– Installation would violate building regulations

– Required permissions are denied

– Installation poses safety risks

10.2. If installation is deemed unfeasible, the Promoter may select an alternative winner.


11. Winner Responsibilities

Winners must:

– Provide accurate information

– Allow site access

– Notify the Promoter of any structural or legal restrictions

– Follow safety and preparation instructions

– Not interfere with installation processes


12. Promoter Responsibilities

The Promoter will:

– Perform fair review and selection

– Provide all installation equipment and labour

– Ensure compliance with UK regulations

– Protect participant data in accordance with UK GDPR

– Communicate transparently regarding timelines and outcomes


13. Data Protection (UK GDPR Compliance)

13.1. Personal data is collected solely for application review, communication, verification, and installation logistics.

13.2. Data will never be sold, shared, or used for unrelated marketing without consent.

13.3. Participants may request deletion of their data at any time.

13.4. The Promoter complies fully with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).


14. Publicity

14.1. Winners agree that their first name, general location, and story summary may be used for promotional purposes.

14.2. No personal details will be published without consent.

14.3. Winners may be invited—but not required—to participate in photos or media coverage.


15. Liability

The Promoter is not liable for:

– Technical issues preventing application submission

– Delays outside its control

– Incorrect information submitted by applicants

– Structural or regulatory limitations that prevent installation

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.


16. Amendment or Cancellation

The Promoter may amend or cancel the Giveaway if circumstances require it, including safety issues, regulatory changes, or events beyond its control.

Any significant updates will be published on the campaign website.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
